5.UHMWPE plastic navigation buoy Costs:

Material difference: The raw material of UHMWPE, with molecular weight of 3.5 million, will be processed by high pressure mould pressing, which will not destroy the mechanical properties of the UHMWPE material, so the good color fastenss, excellent resilience and impact strength are well kept. Meanwhile, the roto-moulding polyethyelne, with molecular weight of 30,000 to 50,000, will be processed by high temperature heating in containers. The color fading and cracking will be easy to occur to the buoys during working.

Workmanship Difference: The UHMWPE buoys are made by seamless welding to ensure good sealing, the complicated workmanship reuiring higher labor intensity than roto-moulding polyethylene buoys. Meanwhile, the common polyethylene buoys are made by roto-moulding, and will be manufactured by one process, which is much easier and faster.

6.How Navigation Buoys Helps Humanbeings on the sea?

people usually get their place or position by using maps or by street signs, stop signs, detours, and traffic lights on land. But people, on the water,navigate by using nautical charts and by Aids to Navigation--lights, buoys, daymarks and fog signals. The aids to navigation signals have same function as traffic lights on the land. Buoys are floating aids that are anchored to the seabed. Boaters interpret what they mean by their shape, color, and characteristics of lights and sound signals. Beacons are fixed to the earth’s surface (not floating) and can be anything from big lighthouses to a sign nailed to some pilings. Light beacons are simply called lights; unlighted beacons are called day beacons and have shapes or colored signs to distinguish them from other beacons.


Mariners can determine which beacon or buoy they are looking at by how they are marked and then comparing them to the chart. Buoys come in different shapes and colors and many are marked with numbers. Lighthouses are painted in different patterns and colors so they can be distinguished from one another. All ATON are maintained by the Coast Guard or Maritime Safety Administrations, and they are noted on charts and published in the maritime government Light List.
